According to Forooghian’s LinkedIn profile, before he founded his boutique firm, he was with MOI Solicitors (now Bennett Jones LLP) for nearly three years, serving as a partner from January 2015 to March 2016 and as associate counsel from June 2013 to December 2014.

Prior to that, at McMillan LLP, he was a partner from January 2012 to June 2013, an associate from May 2006 to December 2011, an articled student from May 2005 to May 2006, and a summer articled student from May 2004 to August 2004.

Forooghian’s thoughts on the move

“Building Forooghian+Co was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career,” Forooghian said in a LinkedIn post. “I'm incredibly proud of what Wendy Malin and I did together, and deeply grateful to her for the dedication, loyalty and friendship that made so much of it possible.”

He added that he decided to join a bigger organization to accommodate his growing practice and to meet his clients’ needs.

“Cassels stood out to me because of its strengths in mining and capital markets, making it a natural fit for my practice,” Forooghian said. “I'm excited to bring my clients the benefits of that platform while continuing to provide the personal attention and strategic advice they've come to expect.”
