Corey Banks has been announced as the new chief legal officer at cloud-based legal practice management software provider Dye & Durham Limited.

Banks transitions from Therium Capital Management, where he led its US-based commercial legal finance business. He also handled commercial disputes related to corporate and financial matters and antitrust as a litigation associate at New York firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

He also logged a stint as associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and clerked at both the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Banks is a magna cum laude graduate from Harvard Law School and has a B.A. from Tufts University.

“In conjunction with the board's review of strategic alternatives, it is imperative that we continue to unlock the value of the company's core software assets. In pursuit of our value-creating initiatives, we have made strategic additions to our leadership team to ensure we have the collective expertise to enhance our operational execution and help our customers grow their businesses,” Dye & Durham CEO George Tsivin said in a statement.

The company also appointed a new chief marketing officer in Chris Louie and an interim chief financial officer in Sandra Bell. Louie makes the jump from Thomson Reuters, where he led the talent development department. He was also once senior vice president of product marketing at Nielsen, where he managed product positioning, pricing, sales strategy, external marketing, sales training and global expansion.

Bell replaces Avjit Kamboj with immediate effect. She has served as chief financial officer at Tiptree Inc., Prospect Mortgage, LLC, PHH Corporation, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, where she was also an executive vice president.

Tsivin joined the company about two months ago. In addition, Dye & Durham announced the departure of Ritu Khanna from its board.
