Kenvue law head Heather L Mullen gets second year as Women General Counsel Canada’s board chair

Heather L Mullen, head of law and corporate secretary (Canada) at personal care product manufacturer Kenvue, will lead the Women General Counsel Canada’s board as chair for a second year.

Mullen will lead the 2026-2027 board alongside vice chair Ratika Gandhi, Alcon’s legal and compliance head (Canada and Latin America). Gandhi is also the board’s sponsor and partnership relations lead.

PepsiCo Beverages Canada vice president and general counsel Clare Smith will serve as secretary and governance lead, while Oldcastle’s deputy general counsel Jennifer Good will be the board’s treasurer.

The other members of the board are as follows:

  • Andrea Fellows - communications lead (Amica Senior Lifestyles, senior vice president and general counsel)
  • Adrian Lang - membership and award council lead (Staples Canada, chief legal and privacy officer)
  • Kathleen Flynn - emeritus lead (national board of Habitat for Humanity Canada, governance committee chair)
  • Corinne Pruzanski - national strategy lead (Cadillac Fairview, executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary)
  • Genevieve Richard - Quebec regional chapter and recruitment lead and 2026 marquee event co-lead (C.A.T. North America Inc., vice president legal affairs)
  • Lilac Bosma – BC regional chapter and recruitment lead (Canfor, general counsel and vice president, legal)
  • Cinda Serianni - GC mentor council lead (Compliance Rx, strategic compliance advisor)
  • Farah Ismail - industry council lead (SE Health, senior vice president and chief legal, privacy, and compliance officer)
  • Sandra De Carolis - 2026 marquee event co-lead and 2027 marquee event lead (Contract Glaziers Inc., general counsel)
  • Lara Speirs - in-transition council lead (past WGCC chair)

Mullen praised the new board, highlighting the members’ leadership, expertise, and commitment to community.

WGCC also announced that Alison Harnick would step down from the board. Harnick is First Capital REIT’s senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary; she was the membership lead on the 2025-2026 board.
