Foote Creek IV Windpower Generation Project

On May 11, 2000, Clarica Life Insurance Company completed its financing of the Foote Creek IV Windpower Generation Project located in Carbon County, Wyoming. The 16.8 megawatt facility is being developed by SeaWest Windpower, Inc. and is being constructed jointly by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. and SeaWest. Financial advisory services were provided to Clarica by Probyn & Company Inc.

McCarthy Tétrault acted for Clarica on the transaction with a team comprised of David Lever, Michael Weizman, Stephen Furlan, François Gilbert, Cynthia Findlay and Abraham Costin. Local counsel in Wyoming for Clarica was Holland & Hart LLP with a team led by James Belcher. Acting for SeaWest was Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP with a team comprised of Edwin Feo, Wayne Song and Richard Mathurin from Milbank’s Los Angeles office, and Robert Freedman and Katherine Mogg, from Milbank’s New York office.
