GE Capital Canada Funding Company Issues $750M of Medium-Term Notes

On May 2, 2006, GE Capital Canada Funding Company issued $750 million of medium-term notes in two tranches, $350 million of 4.75 per cent notes due May 2, 2011 and $400 million of 5.10 per cent notes due June 1, 2016. All notes are guaranteed by General Electric Capital Corporation.
GE Capital's David Russell was assisted by McCarthy T├ętrault LLP's Shea Small, Wendi Locke, Barry Ryan and David Woollcombe (securities) and Gabrielle Richards (tax). The offerings were led by RBC Capital Markets and included Scotia Capital, BMO Nesbitt Burns, CIBC World Markets and TD Securities.
