GE Capital Canada Issues Notes

GE Capital Canada Funding Company issued, on October 24, 2002, a total of $675 million of medium term notes in two tranches. All notes are guaranteed by General Electric Capital Corporation. GE issued $425 million of 5.65 per cent notes due October 23, 2009 and an additional $250 million of 5.30 per cent notes due July 24, 2007.

The $425 million issue was led by RBC Capital Markets Inc., and included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., TD Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc. RBC Capital Markets acted as sole agent on the $250 million issue. On both issues, the dealers were represented by Jamie Davis, Maurice Swan, Greg Hogan and Jason Wilson of Stikeman Elliott.
