National Bank Renews US$5B Euro Note Programme

On January 21, 2002, National Bank of Canada renewed its US$5 billion euro note programme. The notes issued under the programme will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Barclays Bank and National Bank Financial arranged the programme.

National Bank’s legal advisors, Andrée Grimard and Valérie Duchesne, set up the programme assisted by McCarthy Tétrault LLP with a team comprised of Daniel Bénay and Bruno Caron (business) in Montreal and New York respectively. Acting for the arrangers and the dealers were Marianne Sussex and Dan Thomson of Stikeman Elliott in London.
