Royal Bank and CP

Ogilvy Renault lawyers James Riley and Michael Matheson of the firm’s Toronto office recently represented a syndicate of banks, led by the Royal Bank of Canada in a U. S. $500 million European syndicated credit facility and a U. S. $250 million syndicated credit facility made available to Canadian Pacific Limited. In addition, concurrently with these facilities, Messers. Riley and Matheson represented the syndicate, again led by the Royal Bank, in a Canadian $300 million syndicated credit facility for Canadian Pacific Railway. Canadian Pacific was represented by Dale Skinner of McCarthy Tétrault’s Calgary office who worked on all three transactions with Alison Taylor Love, Vice President Law, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Canadian Pacific Limited.
