Secure Energy Services acquires Predator Midstream

Secure Energy Services Inc. acquired Predator Midstream Ltd. for $107 million. The total purchase price was paid by $65 million in cash with the balance of $42 million paid through the issuance of common shares of Secure Energy.

Secure Energy is a TSX publicly traded company focused on providing specialized services to upstream oil and gas companies.

Predator is a privately owned company operating three transloading rail terminals in Alberta with a fleet of 275 rail cars that move crude oil from truck to rail for Canadian oil producers.

The addition of Predator's three transloading terminals to Secure Energy's Full Service Rail capability will provide an immediate rail facility network to complement Secure Energy's current pipeline connections.

Secure Energy was represented internally by Dan Love, Vice President Commerical Operations and General Counsel, and externally by McCarthy Tétrault LLP with a team led by Craig Spurn that included Bradley McFadden, Kristen Haines, Hass Keshavji and Mark Christensen.

Predator Midstream was represented by Davis LLP with a team led by Mike Styczen (corporate commercial) and included Matthew Pollock, Trevor Wong-Chor, Roisin Hutchinson (corporate commercial) and Michael Ford (employment & labour).
