The Creation of Chrysalix Energy Limited Partnership

On July 25, 2001, Ballard Power Systems Inc., Shell Hydrogen and Westcoast Energy Inc. announced the creation of Chrysalix Energy Limited Partnership, a new Vancouver-based private capital joint venture, focused on promoting early-stage companies in fuel cells and related systems, hydrogen infrastructure and maintenance and support techniques. The amount of the creation is undisclosed.

Andrew McLeod of the Vancouver office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP worked with the founding partners to form the partnership. Ballard and Westcoast were represented by their respective in-house counsel Stephanie Chan and Curt Bernardi, while Shell Hydrogen was represented by David Frank and Jasmine Amaria of Slaughter and May in London, England.
