TIW Closes Secondary Offering

On September 25, 2003, Telesystem International Wireless Inc. (TIW) closed a $83 million secondary offering of 12,960,128 common shares to allow Capital Communications CDPQ Inc. (CDPQ) and its affiliates within Caise de dépôt et placement du Québec to sell all their common shares in TIW. The offering was underwritten by BMO Nesbitt Burns.

TIW was represented by in-house counsel Margriet Zwarts, Helene Hallak and Grégoire Baillargeon, and by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP with a team that included Robert Paré, Gilles Leclerc, Marie-Josée Neveu and Catherine Isabelle (corporate) and Benoit Dupuis and Thomas Copeland (tax).
