Vance Street Capital acquires majority stake in Damotech

Cross-border deal positions North America's largest rack safety specialist for next growth phase

On November 13, 2025, Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital (“Vance Street”) completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Damotech Ltd. (“Damotech”), a Boisbriand, Quebec-based warehouse rack safety specialist and the largest provider of aftermarket rack safety solutions in North America. Mountaingate Capital, Damotech's prior majority owner, sold its controlling interest and, together with Damotech's management team, reinvested significantly alongside Vance Street. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Debt financing for the transaction was provided by Bank of Montreal and Apogem Capital.

Founded in 1989 and led by CEO Eric Naaman, Damotech delivers a comprehensive suite of engineering services, built-to-spec repair and protection products, and proprietary rack inspection management software to safety managers, warehouse operations teams, and corporate facility planners responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance and minimizing equipment-related workplace injuries. The company has maintained double-digit annual growth over the past 15 years, and its solutions are used in large-scale warehouses and distribution centres across the retail, e-commerce, logistics, food and beverage, and automotive sectors by customers including Amazon, GM, FedEx, and Coca-Cola. The acquisition represents Vance Street's sixth investment out of Vance Street Capital IV, the firm's fourth fund that closed at its US$775 million hard cap in May 2024, and its 14th investment in the industrial technology safety ecosystem. Harris Williams acted as financial advisor to Damotech.
