Patricia acts on many of Canada’s most complex M&A, capital markets, securities and mining transactions. She represents acquirers, targets and investors both in Canada and abroad and has extensive experience advising parties on both sides of shareholder activism issues. Boards of directors, special committees and activist shareholders regularly consult her on their corporate governance and transaction-specific matters. She also specializes in public market derivatives, the development of innovative structured debt and equity products and MJDS offerings of equity/debt. She is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School teaching advanced M&A and is also former adviser to the chair of the OSC as well as past chair of the Securities Advisory Committee to the OSC. She is vice chair of the boards of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research and Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association and governor of the Royal Ontario Museum.
