Chad is a partner at Osler and practises corporate and securities law with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance in the technology sector. He advises clients on a variety of transactions including acquisitions and divestitures, VC and private equity financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances and IPOs. Founder and co-Chair of Osler’s Emerging and High Growth Companies Practice Group, he advises some of the most notable early, growth and late-stage companies operating across all tech subsectors, the VC and growth equity funds that finance them and some of the largest acquirors of tech companies in Canada, the US and around the world. He is prominent figure in the Canadian technology ecosystem and plays a central role in Osler’s efforts with the Creative Destruction Lab, Next Canada, Peerscale and League of Innovators and C100. Before pursuing a career as a lawyer, he developed a wide range of industry-related experience in the IT sector as a computer engineer.
