Annie practises in all areas of corporate income tax, with a focus on public and private mergers & acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and private equity investments. She also advises clients on domestic and cross-border income tax planning, partnership taxation and the Canadian tax aspects of commercial transactions. Before joining Blakes, Annie practised at the Montreal office of a major international accounting firm. She previously worked for the Income Tax Rulings Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency, where she gained valuable experience interpreting Canadian tax legislation and fiscal policies. Annie also worked as a tax lawyer for several years at another large Canadian law firm.
Publicis Groupe SA, a multinational company from France, acquired Nurun Inc, a Montreal-based provider of digital marketing services, for $125 million, from Québecor Média Inc.
