adidas-Salomon Acquires ARC'TERYX Equipment

adidas-Salomon announced the acquisition of B.C.-based ARC’TERYX Equipment Inc., a niche manufacturer of high-end outdoor apparel and equipment, on December 4, 2001. The amount of the transaction is undisclosed.

The adidas-Salomon legal team was led by in-house counsel Marie Lazzarotto, assisted by Peter Kalbfleisch, Karim Lalani and Dori Assaly, and Bill Maclagan (tax) of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. U.S. vendor shareholder Recreational Equipment, Inc. was represented by in-house counsel Pam Myers, and by Warren Downs and Matt Bingham of Davis & Company.

Peter Fairey (business), Sandra Draibye and Cappone D’Angelo (intellectual property) and Brent Kerr (tax) of McCarthy Tétrault LLP represented ARC’TERYX Equipment founder Jeremy Guard, including an in-house management team comprised of Tom Herbst, Taylor Jordan and Jayson Faulkner.
