Jules Charette is a senior partner at Norton Rose Fulbright in Montréal. He was formerly the co-Chair of our Canadian tax team. He specializes in most fields related to corporate tax at the domestic and international levels, including mergers & acquisitions, reorganizations, capital markets, project financing, structured finance, derivatives, financial instruments, infrastructure projects, cross-border transactions and executive compensation. He is also experienced in estate planning for individuals, negotiations with tax authorities, pension plans and charities. He advises a number of major Canadian public companies. He is a member of various organizations, including the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Fiscal Association and family offices. Mr. Charette sits on the boards of a number of private companies and charitable organizations. He was called to the Québec Bar in 1981.
